One of the most wonderful things about growing and designing with seasonal flowers is how they connect us. So often, the flowers we grow bring back a childhood memory of a beloved family garden or loved one. The scent from a handful of sweet peas, the beauty of a garden rose, the simplicity of a hand-tied flower bouquet each are experiences our farm is proud to offer our customers.
What makes farm grown local flowers different? Quality, freshness, fragrance, and unique selection. Flowers used for our brides are harvested a few days before your big day to ensure you have the best flowers possible. Our flowers are not shipped to us, but rather harvested from our fields and placed straight into our coolers. From seed to bloom, our flowers never leave the farm until their big debut.
Fresh flowers in their prime have the most tantalizing fragrance! What a lovely experience to have flowers fill your venue with their sweet perfume. Pine Hill Farm grows vintage flower varieties grown long ago for their beauty and fragrance. Certain flowers and greenery grown here at the farm can only be purchased from a local farm. Wholesalers that sell to florists do not stock these varieties as they do not ship well in a box. We set ourselves apart by bringing these lost treasures back to life and share their beauty with our brides.

When incorporating seasonal blooms, think of the time of year you desire for your wedding date. Spring brings pastel color palettes along with tulips, daffodils, ranunculus, and larkspur. Summer brings bright colors with flowers blooming in every color under the rainbow. Fall brings moody color palettes with dahlias, rudbeckia, cabbages, and amaranth. Our first piece of advice to brides using seasonal blooms is to pick your color palette first and decide from there what flowers fit your wedding date.

Pine Hill Farm specializes in loose, natural, flowing arrangements showcasing our farm-grown flowers. Bridal bouquets lovingly put together exude an effortless, elegant look. We’re all about the fine details, tucking in raspberry greens or sweet pea tendrils (pictured above) bring interest and texture to a bouquet full of flowers. Scented geranium, basil, and eucalyptus can usually be found tucked inside our bouquets for an extra hint of fragrance. Each of our flower creations are thoughtfully designed at our on-farm studio overlooking the flower field.
